My two year old does not mind wearing this helmet one bit. It’s very soft on the inside and I love the way the chin strap is padded and soft as that seems to be the thing that is most uncomfortable for kids on bike helmets. I am a avid bike rider and always wear a helmet. So it was important to me to get her started wearing a helmet that would keep her safe. This helmet has a good amount of padding inside and on the chin strap. it also has the adjustable strap on the back. There are many adjustments that can be made to the straps to make the helmet fit correctly and securely. I see so many children wearing a helmet in correctly because they don't have the proper or adequate strap adjustments to fit the helmet properly to a Childs head. For size reference, he’s 23 Months, 29 lbs, wears mostly 3T clothing, and has a giant 99th percentile noggin. ?This was super easy to adjust and fits him perfectly, with room to grow but not TOO much. It’ll probably fit another year or so. It looks comfortable and stylish.The blue is bright and so shiny! He’s not a huge fan of wearing it yet, so we’re practicing wearing it in the house. I plan on getting a bike and helmet for myself, in hopes it makes them look *cool.*It’s fairly lightweight but not the lightest helmet out there. It’s actually much bulkier in person than I imagined, and reminds me of the classic helmets my dad used to make me wear as a kid. A lot of my friends have gotten “skate” helmets for their toddlers; a lower profile helmet, more flat and smooth. My son is a pretty big klutz, so I wanted a good brand name I trust and as mutant safety features and protection as possible. There’s tons of fancy character helmets out there (dinosaurs, spikes, shark fins...), but a helmet is safest when it doesn’t have any extra add-ons.I’m really happy I went with Joovy! It doesn’t pinch her skin and the adjustments are helpful.I’ve done tones of research before purchasing this helmet and it did not disappoint. It fitted extremely well and it’s very light weigh. Also unlike the other options on Amazon it has plenty openings for ventilation.The only thing that I want to point out is that the helmet does fit small. I bought it for a 33lbs 20 month old who’s 35” and it was too small. If I could get a bigger size which unfortunately Amazon did not have at the time I definitely would.Because this helmet is has an adjustment knob inside the back, it has the capability to fit a child for years through a simple turn of the knob. The helmet itself it lightweight, with very good quality interior 'harnessing', that cradles your child's head, leaving me, Nana, with a very reassured feeling of safety.
