This helmet is much more comfortable than the Smith Session MIPS helmet. They must have listened to the feedback about the MIPS ripping out people's hair because this helmet doesn't do that.One of the safer helmets combing MiP’s and honeycomb type impact protection. Good ventilation and good coverage along side and back of your head.This Helmet is comfortable, lightweight, and breaths good. I really like that it works well with goggles and can hold sunglasses when not in use under the 3 position visor. The helmet looks good as far as MTB helmets go but most importantly doesn’t distract from the ride. Little pricey, but you’re paying for Smith’s R&D and in my experience great warranty. Tried to buy from my local bike shop first but just didn’t have my size in a color way I was digging. Good purchase!Fantastic helmet. Great airflow.This is my second one. I have the previous one still, but the visor is cracked after a fall I took a few months ago. I use these for road biking, although they are said to be MTB. They are good on the cooler days. They are sturdier than the road bike helmets and have more protection on the back of the head. All my helmets have MIPS technology. I think it works. These helmets are a little hotter than normal road bike types because they have a honeycomb material for protection so there are no gaps on the top as with normal helmets. For me this is an added plus when there are bees present. I ride on back roads where there are quite a few bees, some from honey farms in the area. I have had more than one occasion when they have gotten in from the top and stung me on the head when I have short hair. Bees cannot get into this one. On hot days I use a different helmet with more ventilation bees or not. I recommend this helmet highly for road biking. I don't know how it works for MTB because I no longer do that.Granted I have used every manufacturer's helmets over the years weather it be racing or riding . Many don't have enough room for protective riding glasses and causing pressure on your nose , this helmet has solved that problem with the four different pairs of riding glasses I ownI love the way this looks! It is super fun. It is comfortable, the visor is great when you are out on the trail and it is a great fit on my head. I just had an accident two days ago.. I wondering if this helmet have a warranty that can replaced. I've used this helmet about 4 months.
